The next meeting of the Florida Subchapter of the Society for Corporate Governance will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Gunster's office in Fort Lauderdale, with live video conference feeds to our offices in Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
The program will get underway at 4 p.m. and will consist of three great - and timely - panels:
1. Pay ratio do's, don'ts, how's and how not to's
A primer on how to (and how not to) make your pay ratio disclosures in 2018. Panel members will be:
- Andy Restaino, managing director, Technical Compensation Advisors Inc.
- Joe Mallin, partner, Pay Governance LLC
- David Scileppi, co-chair, securities and corporate governance law practice, Gunster
2. Not your father's (or mother's) cybersecurity
A real-life story of a ransomware attack and the issues that need to be addressed before, during and after an attack. Panel members will be:
- Susan Allan, vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Overseas Shipholding Group
- José L. Antiqua, director, IT & assurance services, Marcum
3. Activism in our middle-market world
Activism isn’t just a Proctor & Gamble and ADP issue. Activism is alive and well and increasingly focused on the middle market. Panel members will be:
- Kristian Klein, senior vice president, D.F. King (an AST company)
- Bob Lamm, co-chair, securities and corporate governance practice, Gunster

The program will be followed by wine and hors d'oeuvres in Fort Lauderdale and the video locations, as attendance dictates.
There is no charge for attending, and CLE and CPE credit are being applied for.
