President Trump advised through a tweet on April 20th at 10:06 pm (ET) that he “…will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States” in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Gunster’s Immigration Practice Group is closely monitoring the issuance of this Executive Order and will post an update upon issuance of the Order with additional information on how it may impact our clients and the overall U.S. Immigration Framework.

In the meantime, companies and individuals with ongoing or prospective immigration processes should stay in close touch with counsel regarding whether the forthcoming Executive Order may affect such processes. We remain available to answer your questions.

If you have any questions, please contact Gunster attorneys Beatriz Osorio, Sarah Tobocman, Mariana Ribeiro and Maria Romero.
