Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is growing their private wealth services practice by welcoming Seth R. Kaplan as shareholder and Joshua N. Goldglantz as an associate in the recently opened Boca Raton office. Gunster is dedicated to the private wealth practice, and with the addition of Kaplan and Goldglantz, the private wealth services team is now more than 40 lawyers. Kaplan brings more than 20 years of legal experience to the firm and Goldglantz brings more than seven.
Kaplan concentrates his practice in the areas of planned giving, charitable trusts, personal income taxation and estate planning for high net worth individuals. He has a range of clientele including fund managers, executives in public companies and high net worth private companies. Kaplan also focuses his practice on family-owned businesses as a trusted advisor, assisting with family succession and post-mortem planning.
He has planned and coordinated major gifts to national universities and charitable organizations, including Drexel University, the University of Miami, United Way of Miami-Dade County and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. In addition, he serves as chair of the professional advisory committee for United Way of Miami-Dade. He received his LL.M. in Estate Planning and J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. from Northwestern University.
Goldglantz is actively involved in the community, and serves as a professional advisory committee member for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Boca Raton.
Gunster's Boca Raton office celebrated its grand opening on March 1.
