Overview

Beatriz ("Betty") M. Miranda is a member of the Labor and Employment Group, representing clients in litigation matters and assisting clients in managing the employment relationship. Betty is dedicated to delivering customized solutions, closely listening to her clients, paying meticulous attention to detail, and conducting in-depth analysis of their legal challenges and business objectives to formulate the most effective courses of action.

Betty brings a rich background in both private practice and the judiciary, offering a unique perspective and deep expertise to her clients. Betty served as a federal judicial law clerk for The Honorable Anthony E. Porcelli in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. She also served as a law clerk for The Honorable Jonathan D. Gerber in the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal. Betty previously practiced in a labor and employment boutique law firm where she represented public and private sector employers in matters related to labor and employment law in conducting investigations into claims of harassment and discrimination, handling disputes involving non-competition agreements, collective actions, and labor arbitrations, among other matters.

Betty received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida. In 2016, Betty received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During her time in law school, Betty was a member of the Florida Moot Court Team. Betty also worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Elizabeth Kovachevich in the United States Middle District of Florida and the Honorable Nelly Khouzam in the Florida Second District Court of Appeal.

Betty was born in Cuba and grew up in Miami. Her background and language proficiency enable her to connect with a diverse clientele, further enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive legal support.
