Overview
Brian Carr is an associate in Gunster’s West Palm Beach office and a member of the firm’s Corporate practice. Brian represents private equity funds, their portfolio companies and other corporate clients across a range of merger and acquisition transactions, including buyouts, divestitures, sell-side deals and growth equity investments. Brian also regularly advises clients in connection with corporate restructurings, governance and general business-related matters. Prior to law school, Brian practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for a global professional services firm. Brian leverages his dual qualifications and financial acumen to navigate complex transactions and add value for his clients.
Prior to joining Gunster, Brian served as a corporate attorney for one of Boston's largest law firms, where he represented private equity and venture capital clients across a range of complex transactions. Brian also provided strategic counsel on corporate governance and other general corporate matters to his clients.
Brian earned his J.D. and LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the College of the Holy Cross. Brian also holds a master’s degree from Northeastern University D’Amore-McKim School of Business.
In his free time, Brian enjoys traveling, evenings with friends, and running the beach with his two wheaten terriers, Maggie and Ollie.
