Overview
Danielle DeVito-Hurley has represented property owners, developers, institutional and private investors, and national retail tenants in the acquisition, financing, construction, development, leasing and disposition of billions of dollars of commercial properties, including office, industrial, mixed-use and hospitality properties. In addition to her active practice, she co-chairs Gunster’s Real Property practice.
Advising clients at every stage, Danielle works to mitigate risk and maximize her clients’ return on their investment. She negotiates purchase and sale agreements for buyers and sellers, conducts due diligence, negotiates loan documents, leases with tenants, shared-use and reciprocal-easement agreements for mixed-use components, and handles closings.
In the leasing realm, in addition to representing landlords regarding retail, office, industrial and medical space, Danielle represents national tenants in ground, build-to-suit and inline leases throughout Florida and across the U.S. Her clients include property owners and developers, big-box retailers and iconic brands. She is also experienced in negotiating hotel, club, and other hospitality and resort venue development, management, franchise and licensing agreements, and representing master-planned community developers regarding development agreements and builder contracts.
Danielle enjoys navigating deal complexities and crafting creative solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems. Backed by more than 30 years of experience representing clients on both sides of deals, she brings an uncommon perspective. A savvy negotiator, Danielle takes a collaborative approach and a softer touch to persuade the other side to agree on key deal points. Clients appreciate her accessibility, responsiveness, clarity, efficiency and skill in protecting them from undue risk. Building long-lasting relationships with her clients, she prides herself on serving as a team member, playing an instrumental role in getting deals done and positioning her clients to achieve their business objectives.
