Overview
John Roach, AICP joined the firm in 2023 as a planner in the Real Property practice group assisting the firm’s attorneys in all aspects of the development process to include due diligence, processing of development applications, and securing approvals from various governmental and regulatory agencies.
John has worked in planning, primarily in the public sector, for over 20 years assuming responsibility for the review and analysis of some of the more complex development projects, drafting and reviewing neighborhood plans, master plans and design guidelines, and overseeing neighborhood advisory groups and boards. He has also worked as a project manager for a non-profit providing a wide variety of planning-related services to communities throughout the Midwest.
Currently, John serves on the Executive Committee of the American Planning Association (APA) – Florida Chapter, as Treasurer, and was previously Vice Chair of the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency’s Vision Zero Action Committee.
John obtained his professional certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) in 2006. As quoted by the American Planning Association, AICP is “the only nationwide, independent verification of planner’s qualifications” and demonstrates the academic and work experiences required to serve such a role while upholding a code of ethics.
