Overview
Juan Estremera advises high-net-worth families and foreign investors on complex tax and estate planning matters. Drawing on his expertise, Juan strives to develop and implement estate planning strategies that optimize tax efficiency and preserve generational wealth. His practice extends to guiding foreign clients through the intricacies of U.S. real estate transactions, particularly focusing on the FIRPTA withholding tax requirements arising from property dispositions. Juan also leverages his valuable experience in pre-immigration tax planning to help clients navigate the complexities of U.S. tax law before relocating to the United States.
Juan was previously on the International Tax Services team of a “Big Four” accounting firm. His work consisted of a wide range of complex international tax issues, including Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (GILTI), Subpart F income, and the nuanced application of international tax treaties. This experience provided Juan with a strong foundation in navigating the complexities of cross-border structures.
