Romney Manassa

Overview

Romney Maron Manassa practices U.S. immigration and nationality law, with a focus on employment, business, and talent-based immigration. He has prepared applications and petitions for intracompany transferees, workers in specialty occupations, individuals with extraordinary ability, and TN professionals. Romney has also worked on asylum applications, removal defense cases, and family-based immigration, which has given him exposure to the many complex rules, procedures, and institutions of the U.S. immigration system.

Romney appreciates the challenges faced by his clients and, as a second-generation immigrant, he is passionate about giving every client an opportunity to achieve their American Dream. He views every client as a unique individual entitled to personalized solutions. To that end, Romney’ endeavors to provide personalized service, empathy, and an in-depth understanding of both the law and the people it serves.

Romney graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law with a J.D., with an area of focus on Immigration, Asylum, and Citizenship, and an LL.M. in International Arbitration. He served as staff editor of the Inter-American Law Review, student fellow at the Human Rights Clinic, president of the Society of Bar and Gavel honor society, and member of the International Moot Court Program. Romney competed in the International Criminal Court Moot Competition in The Hague, Netherlands; presented human rights research to a United Nations committee in Geneva, Switzerland; participated in an exchange program with Leipzig University, Germany; studied U.N. climate negotiations in Madrid, Spain; and conducted environmental law field work in Panama.
