Sean Morrissey

Overview

Sean is an energetic litigator with experience in commercial litigation and eDiscovery. Sean’s work in the eDiscovery Team sees him working directly with clients and their outside counsel to develop innovative strategies and practices for collecting and reviewing documents, both for the purposes of production and supporting trial counsel’s arguments. When approaching his projects Sean aims to connect with his clients and their outside counsel to foster cooperative working relationships and a solutions-oriented team culture.

Prior to joining Gunster, Sean worked as consultant counsel to McDonald’s Legal Department’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. In his position as consultant counsel, Sean worked on a variety of commercial litigation and discovery matters. While at McDonald’s, Sean worked extensively with McDonald’s e-Discovery Managers to collect, review, and code documents responsive to the matters handled by the Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Sean obtained a joint degree with a M.A. in International Relations and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago. During his last year at the University of Chicago, Sean worked with Doctor Robert Pape and his Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST). While working at CPOST, Sean helped develop and code a database of militant propaganda videos, according to a research regimen that the CPOST research team developed.
