Thom Jenks

Overview

Thom is an associate in Gunster’s Jacksonville Office where he is a member of the firm’s real estate practice group. He focuses his practice on a variety of commercial real estate transactions. Additionally, Thom has experience representing clients in a range of business and corporate matters including entity formation and structuring, preparation of governing documents (i.e., shareholder agreements, bylaws and operating agreements for LLCs), asset and equity transfers, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Gunster, Thom was an associate at another law firm in Northeast Florida, where he represented clients in business and real estate transactions, and litigated matters involving contract disputes, construction related claims (i.e., construction defect and lien right claims), partnership and shareholder disputes, and real estate litigation. Previous to that, Thom served as in-house counsel to a large South Florida behavioral healthcare system, where he provided counseling with respect to various regulatory and healthcare compliance matters, as well as assistance in the negotiation and documentation of transactions involving the transfer of commercial real estate, company assets and equity interests.

Thom was born and raised in North Florida and is proud to call Jacksonville his home. Outside of the office, he is actively involved with the Cambodian Children’s Fund and enjoys spending time with his wife and growing family.
