WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 9, 2015) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full service business law firms, is pleased to announce Joseph P. Chase, a business and corporate attorney in its West Palm Beach office, has been named secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches for the 2014-2015 term and will serve as the Chamber's chair during the 2016-2017 term. During the 2015-2016 term, Chase will serve as the Chamber's chair-elect.
He has served on the Chamber's board of directors since 2013 and on its governmental affairs committee since 2011.
Chase has been named as an “Up & Comer” by Florida Trend, and as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers. He attended Vanderbilt University for his J.D.
Chase is a member of Gunster’s corporate practice and concentrates his practice on private company mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions. He has handled transactions valued from $1 million to over $150 million on behalf of clients in numerous industries, including health care, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, beverages and publishing.
Chase has long been involved in the community. He is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County and is currently participating in Leadership Florida’s highly selective Connect Florida Statewide Leadership Institute. He also serves on the boards of directors of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and the YMCA of the Palm Beaches.
