WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 10, 2013) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys have been selected for positions of honor by the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

 
 John C. Moran John Moran becomes an ACTEC Fellow, one of the highest achievements for an attorney in the trusts and estates field. Moran is a frequent lecturer on probate and trust topics and concentrates his practice in the areas of probate, trust, guardianship and fiduciary litigation. He is an active leader in the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
 Elaine Bucher Elaine Bucher is selected as Florida chair for ACTEC. She is a current ACTEC Fellow and Gunster shareholder who focuses her practice on wills, trusts and estates, complex estate, gift and generation-skipping tax issues, trust and estate administration, and fiduciary litigation matters.  She is a member of the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.

Additional Gunster attorneys who are ACTEC Fellows include: Debra L. Boje, William T. Hennessey, Thomas M. Karr and Michael D. Simon. There are approximately 140 ACTEC Fellows in the state. Gunster’s private wealth services practice, one of the largest in the state, has more ACTEC Fellows than any other Florida-only firm.

ACTEC is a national organization of approximately 2,600 lawyers elected to membership based on demonstrated competence and experience as trust and estate counselors, integrity and commitment to the profession. Fellows are elected by regents of the college after careful review by selection committees. Applications for membership are not accepted. ACTEC members have made significant contributions to the field of trusts and estates law through writing, teaching and bar leadership.
