WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (September 6, 2016) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that its 2016 roster of 25 attorneys honored by Florida Trend as Legal Elite makes Gunster one of the top 3 firms with the most honorees, according to the publication.

Gunster’s 25 honorees are made up of 21 Legal Elite + 4 Legal Elite Up & Comers.

Florida Trend’s Legal Elite listing is an exclusive annual honor that represents fewer than 2 percent of active Florida Bar members. Five of Gunster’s Legal Elite honorees have achieved an even greater distinction: inclusion in the publication’s Hall of Fame, having consistently earned high rankings from their peers.

To create its annual Legal Elite list, now in its 13th year, Florida Trend asks lawyers to name attorneys they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others. Voters are also asked to name three up-and-coming attorneys. Only lawyers licensed and practicing in Florida are eligible for selection.

The list of top vote-getters was further examined using membership status and histories provided by the Florida Bar. A panel of previous Legal Elite winners, representing different practice areas in cities across the state, reviewed the selection process and the list of finalists. The resulting lists represent fewer than 2 percent of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida.
