WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.  – May 14, 2020 Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, bolstered its business litigation practice with the addition of shareholder Aron U. Raskas. He brings more than 30 years of litigation experience to the firm and will be based in the Miami office.

Gunster attorney Aron Raskas

As a trial lawyer, Raskas has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in business, professional negligence, criminal, regulatory and other litigation and arbitration matters. His business and civil litigation experience includes disputes involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate governance, trade secrets and disputes over business operations and control. He has counseled and represented clients facing public integrity, regulatory and white-collar criminal inquiries, investigations and charges and has performed internal investigations for companies under various circumstances.

Raskas also advises and represents law firms and individual attorneys on issues relating to professional liability and disciplinary charges. He joins Gunster’s Professional Liability Defense practice which represents AMLAW 50, 100 and 200 law firms as well as regional law firms in malpractice and other cases throughout Florida.

“Aron’s comprehensive and unique experience in complex business litigation and internal investigations made him an ideal candidate for our growing business litigation practice,” said Bill Perry, managing shareholder of Gunster. “His decision to relocate geographically to join Gunster strengthens and validates our position as the leading business litigation firm in Florida.”

“Having worked on several matters with Gunster attorneys and observed the quality of the people and high caliber of the work, the decision to move to Gunster was logical and easy,” said Raskas.

Recognized for years in the legal community, Raskas has been named to Best Lawyers in America for Business Litigation every year since 2013 and Maryland Super Lawyers from 2014 to 2020. He has also regularly received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. An out-of-state acquisition for the Florida firm, Raskas comes to Gunster after practicing in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
