WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 1, 2016) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that shareholder and corporate attorney Joe Chase is now the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.
Chase was sworn in as the chair on Friday, Nov. 4 at the chamber’s annual Chairman’s Circle reception. This year’s reception took place at FPL’s waterfront Manatee Lagoon. The celebration honored FPL’s Don Kiselewski for his service as past chair, and welcomed Chase as the incoming chairman of the chamber’s board of directors.
Joseph P. Chase is a business and corporate attorney who focuses his practice on private company mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions. He is the youngest chairman in memory of the more than 100-year-old chamber. Chase has also served as a member of the chamber’s board of directors and governmental affairs committee for several years. Chase’s selection as the chamber’s chair adds to his already impressive resume. In 2016, Chase was selected as one of South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees and has been named to the Florida Super Lawyers list since 2012.
Chase consistently devotes much of his time and energy to the Palm Beach County community. Among other things, he serves on the board of governors of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and the board of directors of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. He is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County and Leadership Florida’s Connect Florida Statewide Leadership Institute. He received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
