WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (November 30, 2007) William T. Hennessey, a litigation attorney and shareholder at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart in West Palm Beach, has been elected a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is one of approximately 138 lawyers in Florida and 2,700 nationwide to earn this distinction. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.

He was also named chairman of the Probate and Trust Litigation Committee for Real Property Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of the Florida Bar.  He is an active member of the RPPTL Section’s Executive Council and serves on multiple committees for the section.

Hennessey concentrates his practice in the areas of estate, trust and guardianship litigation. He is a frequent lecturer on probate litigation topics and has co-authored numerous articles and treatises on probate litigation in Florida.
