WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2014) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Luna E. Phillips, a shareholder in its Fort Lauderdale office, has been voted onto the board of directors for the Florida section of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA).
The Florida section of AWRA was established as a nonprofit and aims to inform the public of water-related issues through professional development and education. AWRA offers a variety of grants and scholarships, and the Florida section has been recognized as an outstanding section by the national chapter of AWRA.
Luna Phillips, a Florida Bar board-certified shareholder at Gunster, is a member of the firm’s environmental and land use law practice. She practices exclusively in the field of Florida environmental law, focusing on water and natural resources law.
Her board certification from the Florida Bar is in state and federal administrative and governmental practice. She is a frequent guest lecturer and is consistently selected for annual Super Lawyer and Best Lawyers in America lists.
Phillips will serve on the Florida AWRA board alongside many other prominent individuals across the state of Florida who represent public and private interests. Phillips will join the board Feb. 6, 2015.
