WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 30, 2018) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that it has yet again expanded its capabilities and services with the additions of Andrew Piper and Christine Sweet.

Andrew Piper will focus his practice on personal and business tax law-related matters in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. Christine Sweet will be resident in Gunster’s Jacksonville office where she will concentrate her practice in the areas of probate, trust, and guardianship litigation as a member of the firm’s private wealth services practice.

Gunster attorney Andrew PiperPiper represents clients in a variety of matters including tax-exempt organizations; inbound and outbound international tax planning; and tax controversy and litigation. He also works on mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance; executive compensation; private wealth services and estate planning. He received his B.S. from the University of Florida, and earned his J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. Additionally, Piper is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for the State of Florida.

Gunster attorney Christine SweetSweet began her legal career as an assistant state attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville where she prosecuted a variety of criminal cases and most recently served in the Special Assault Division. As a prosecutor, Sweet gained trial and litigation experience, having successfully tried numerous cases and argued a variety of motions. Prior to attending law school, Sweet was a teacher specializing in teaching students with special needs. She earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami.

Gunster continues to expand and diversify as Piper and Sweet join the roster of eight statewide hires so far in 2018.
