WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2015) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce Steven J. Boyne has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Jacksonville office.

The attorney joins the firm’s corporate and health care practices with more than 25 years of experience practicing law. He will focus his practice on corporate law, including technology licensing and acquisition, insurance, data centers, disaster and recovery and cybercrime planning and transportation procurement. Boyne, a London, England native and Ironman triathlete, is a member of the Jacksonville and American Bar Associations. He is a graduate of Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he concentrated his studies on corporate, computer and tax law. Boyne is involved in the Jacksonville community as a board member for the Braided Light Dance Project, a nonprofit that features and celebrates all forms and mediums of art.

Boyne is one of three new additions to the Jacksonville office. Michael Freed, former president of the Jacksonville Bar Association, joined the firm’s business litigation practice group last month along with Kyle Knopsnyder, an associate in the environmental and land use practice.

By representing one of Florida’s largest health care insurance providers, Boyne has experience in dealing with HIPAA administration, health care related technology, governmental regulations and compliance issues. He also specializes in technology, transportation and licensing and distribution law.
