Press Release

Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that it has been named one of Florida’s Best Companies To Work For in 2022 by Florida Trend magazine. This marks the sixth year in a row that the firm has been recognized with this honor. This year Gunster received one of its highest rankings as 14th on the large company list while remaining the only Florida-focused law firm ranked in the category.

Created by Florida Trend and the Best Companies Group, and endorsed by the HR Florida State Council, the Best Companies To Work For In Florida is an annual survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the state’s 100 best employers. The program also provides organizations with meaningful employee feedback. Honorees are selected following a thorough, two-step process administered by Workforce Research Group involving an evaluation of the company workplace, policies, practices, philosophies and demographics – in addition to an anonymous survey measuring employee satisfaction. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final ranking in three categories (i.e., small, medium and large).

Gunster CEO & Managing Shareholder Bill Perry

Gunster’s CEO and managing shareholder, Bill Perry, remarked “Gunster is honored to once again be recognized as a great place to work. After two years of challenges during the pandemic and a year of record growth, it’s even more significant that we’ve maintained this honor. Our employees are our best asset and it is gratifying to consistently receive such positive feedback. We thank our employees for doing their part each day to position Gunster as a wonderful place to work."

One employee from the confidential survey commented that “We are working toward a common purpose and we work together as a team; everyone is willing to pitch in, and it is a friendly environment.” Another noted that "People take pride in working here and are truly focused on exceeding the expectations of the clients we serve.” A third survey respondent added that "Employees are given the opportunity to succeed, both professionally and financially."

Having been recognized on the Best Companies to Work For list from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2017 to 2021, Gunster has continually garnered this highly sought after achievement.
