WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 19, 2014) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that it has promoted two of its associates to shareholder.

Marc Brody joined the firm in 2006 and works in Gunster’s West Palm Beach office as a member of its corporate and technology law practice groups.
Jorge D. Guttman joined the firm in 2012 and works in Gunster’s Miami office as a member of its business litigation and international law practice groups.

“Achieving shareholder status is a milestone for any attorney and we’re proud to name these two attorneys as Gunster shareholders,” says Bill Perry, managing shareholder of Gunster. “Marc and Jorge have demonstrated a proficiency in legal work as well as a high level of client service, which have become hallmarks of our firm.”

The firm is also proud, he says, of the four key lateral hires made in the past year: former appellate judge Angel Cortinas (Miami); former ambassador to Panama, Simon Ferro (Miami); former Florida deputy secretary for water policy, Greg Munson (Tallahassee); and prominent intellectual property litigator Stephen C. Page (Stuart).

Brody earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern (2005), his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in taxation from NYU School of Law (2006), and his B.B.A. from Hofstra University in NYC. He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers since 2009, and has received numerous book awards.

Guttman received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law (2005) and his B.A. from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has been listed as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers and an “Up and Comer” by Florida Trend. Guttman was recently in the news as a founder of the Venezuelan American National Bar Association (VENAMBAR), based in Miami. He also participates in civic organizations such as the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the American Jewish Committee.
