WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 21, 2016) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that its Director of Attorney Recruiting & Professional Development Brad Sprayberry has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) for its 2016-2017 term, beginning in April 2016.
Sprayberry was selected from U.S. and Canadian law firm candidates to fill one of six director and officer seats open this year. The full board is comprised of 13 directors and officers, serving staggered terms. Law firms represented on the board are Gunster; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; Hogan Lovells; Faegre Baker Daniels; Venable LLP; and Borden Ladner Gervais. The remaining board seats are filled by law school professionals.
Sprayberry was elected to NALP’s board of directors at its annual meeting on April 15 in Boston.
At Gunster, Sprayberry is responsible for managing the hiring of all attorneys at the firm in addition to its internal professional development efforts. He is a member of the firm’s Associate Mentoring Committee, Diversity Committee, Women’s Leadership Forum, and Associate Development Committee. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and Ohio.
Sprayberry is also a current, two-time appointee to the Florida Bar’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and practiced environmental and employment law prior to joining Gunster in 2004. Sprayberry works out of the firm’s West Palm Beach headquarters.
