Bill Schifino

Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that William J. Schifino, Jr. has been appointed to the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce board of directors after previously serving from 2015 to 2021.

The Tampa Bay Chamber is a not-for-profit business membership organization that helps promote the businesses and business interests of members through advocacy, leadership and opportunities. Schifino will continue to collaborate with fellow Chamber leaders and local business leaders to help define the policy priorities of the Tampa Bay business community. This includes working to execute Vision 2026, a 10-year Vision Plan established by members of the Tampa Bay Chamber in 2016 to ensure the organization continues to move forward and is ready for the future.

“The Tampa Bay Chamber holds an impressive track record of making a difference in the local community and the state as a whole,” stated Schifino. I am honored to have once again been named to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. As Tampa Bay continues to experience record-setting growth, I look forward to helping to shape the future of the region.”

Schifino serves on Gunster’s board of directors and is a board certified specialist in the area of business litigation. He served as president of The Florida Bar for the 2016-2017 term, and also previously served eight years as a member of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, appointed by both Governors Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist, and served as its chairman. He is actively involved and heavily invested in both the legal profession and the Tampa Bay community.
