WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 7, 2006) – Amy Zipper has joined Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. as an associate in the Private Wealth Services Department in both West Palm Beach and Ft. LauderdaleDara. J. Garel has also joined the firm as an associate in the Litigation Department in West Palm Beach.

Gunster Yoakley also congratulates Nicholas Robbins, a senior associate in the Corporate Department in West Palm Beach and Brad Sprayberry, the firm’s director of recruiting, on passing the Florida Bar.

Zipper concentrates her practice in estate planning, charitable giving and tax exempt organizations, and estate and gift tax.  Prior to joining Gunster, she was an attorney with the prestigious New York City law firms of Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel, LLP.  She speaks French and Spanish, and is a member of Leadership Boca 2006 as well as other local organizations.  She earned her bachelor of arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, and her juris doctorate from New York University School of Law. Zipper received the highest combined score on the Florida Bar exam from the six counties comprising the Fourth District – Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee.

Garel concentrates her practice in complex commercial, employment and real property litigation.  She has received numerous accolades for her work in legal research and writing, including the Legal Research and Writing Book Award and the Mediation Book Award.  She has also served as the articles editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy.  A member of the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association, she received her juris doctorate cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her bachelor of science magna cum laude from Cornell University.

Nicholas Robbins concentrates his practice in private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, software and technology licensing, corporate finance and general business law.  Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney in the Business Practice Group of the law firm of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP in Boston, MA., an Am Law 100 firm.  In addition, Robbins was a financial advisor in the Boston office of UBS Financial Services, Inc. He is a member of the Florida and Massachusetts bars, and is active in the TC Angel Investment Forum. Robbins earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Connecticut College, and his juris doctorate with honors from Boston University School of Law.

As director of Attorney Recruiting, Brad Sprayberry is responsible for managing the recruitment and hiring of all new partners, associates and summer associates for the firm’s six offices in Florida.  Prior to joining Gunster, he practiced law in both law firm and corporate in-house settings and served as an attorney recruiter for a national search firm.  He is a member of the Florida, Ohio and Kentucky Bars.  Sprayberry earned his bachelor of science degree, cum laude, from Ohio University and his juris doctorate from Ohio State University.
