WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (November 6, 2007) — Joseph G. Santoro, a shareholder at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. in West Palm Beach and co-chair of its Labor and Employment Practice Group, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.
Santoro concentrates his practice in labor and employment litigation and counseling, including representing companies in employment discrimination disputes about race, religion, national origin, disability and sexual harassment; claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act; private and public whistle-blower claims; minimum wage and overtime claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act; non-competition, confidentiality and trade secret matters; and the representation of management in disputes before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Florida Commission on Human Relations and National Labor Relations Board. Santoro also provides counseling and training services to executive management about employment and labor issues. He is a member of The Florida Bar and is co-chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section.
