Anta Plowden is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. Anta concentrates his practice on complex commercial disputes in both federal and state court. He assists clients in a diverse array of matters ranging from contract claims to insurance disputes, real estate litigation and bankruptcy litigation. He is committed to providing practical advice with the goal of reaching efficient and effective solutions for clients. Prior to joining the firm, Anta gained experience as a litigation associate working with both national and international clients at the federal and state level.

Anta also maintains an active pro bono practice that, among other things, focuses on securing veterans’ rights and benefits.

Anta earned his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Miami, where he graduated magna cum laude. While there, Anta served on the Executive Board of the University of Miami Law Review as the Eleventh Circuit Editor, was a member of the International Moot Court Program, and was listed as a member of “Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges” for 2017. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the United States Air Force Academy in 2002.

Before going to law school, Anta was a decorated combat pilot in the United States Air Force with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
