Emily Chase Headshot

Overview

Emily J. (Baxter) Chase practices in the areas of complex business litigation and probate, trust and guardianship litigation. She has appeared in state and federal court and AAA arbitration and represents clients in a wide variety of matters involving contracts, business torts, probate and trust disputes, and claims regarding fiduciary relationships.

Emily represents individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries involved in complex and disputed estate, trust, and guardianship matters, including prosecuting and defending will and trust contests, claims of undue influence, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and petitions to construe, reform, and modify wills and trusts. Additionally, in the context of trust and estate administration, Emily often advises fiduciaries on their legal obligations and counsels them in avoiding litigation and managing risk.

Emily’s experience also includes litigation of contract claims, shareholder disputes, tortious interference, fraudulent misrepresentation, non-disclosure agreements, and other claims arising out of business transactions.

Emily is dedicated to understanding the often complex legal and factual issues at hand in every matter for which she is involved, including learning as much as possible about each client’s business and industry, in order to provide an objective analysis of the client’s position and safeguard the client’s interests. Emily is committed to productive communication and to efficiently designing solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

Emily graduated cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in 2017. While in law school, Emily served on the executive board of the Florida State University Moot Court team as vice president, as well as actively participated as a member of the Florida State University Law Review.
