Jin concentrates her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, and corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on cross-border transactions between the United States and China. She is also involved in myriad real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale and leasing of real estate; real estate and construction loans; and insolvency and bankruptcy related issues pertaining to real estate and corporate transactions.
Jin is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Born and raised in Shenzhen, a coastal city in the southeast of China near Hong Kong, Jin was educated in the United Kingdom, finished college in London and attended law school at UNC Chapel Hill. She seeks to use her language skills and multi-cultural background to connect international clients to South Florida business opportunities.
Jin seeks to assist clients by first understanding their objectives. Jin’s dedication to providing the requisite legal and business acumen and her attention to detail are further supported by her personal commitment to adding value to every matter in which she is involved.
Prior to law school, Jin worked at ExxonMobil's Shanghai office, an experience that exposed her to the international shipping industry. While in law school, Jin interned for Chief Judge Laurel M. Isicoff in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. She also served as a legal extern in the office of the general counsel of a multinational pharmaceutical company.
