Kaitlyn Cawley

Overview

Kaitlyn Cawley is an associate in Gunster’s Jacksonville office where she is a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice group. She represents clients in a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, development, and secured financing of multifamily properties, mixed-used developments and master planned communities. Additionally, she has experience representing clients in a variety of corporate matters, such as entity formation, general commercial contracts and tax matters. Kaitlyn has advised property owners, developers and governmental authorities in protecting use rights, future dispositions and finance options for commercial, retail, agricultural and industrial properties. She is dedicated to understanding her clients’ objectives and striving to achieve those goals through a sophisticated, but common-sense approach.

Kaitlyn graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in 2016. While in law school, she was a member of the Florida State University Moot Court team and actively participated as a member of the Florida State University Law Review, an editor of FSU College of Law’s Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, and an ambassador for FSU College of Law. Additionally, Kaitlyn served as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Research.

Prior to joining Gunster, Kaitlyn worked as an attorney for the United States Department of Agriculture where she advised the Rural Utilities Service and Rural Business Cooperative Service on agency priorities, drafting notices and regulations and negotiating multi-million-dollar loans. She was born and raised on a cattle farm in South Georgia and was happy to return home to Northeast Florida. She appreciates Jacksonville’s proximity to her hometown, Southern hospitality and nearness to the ocean.
