Overview
Madison is a shareholder in the real property practice group. She represents borrowers, lenders, buyers, sellers and developers in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. Within her multi-family affordable housing practice, Madison has worked with HUD and housing agencies in over a dozen states on matters involving properties financed with LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credits), HOME funds and other similar funding sources. She also has experience drafting commercial office space leases and third-party legal opinions for corporate transactions.
Additionally, Madison has worked on matters involving the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties and land use, zoning, planning and permitting issues. She has also advised community development districts on a variety of operational and financing considerations. While in law school, Madison served as an articles and symposia editor of the Stetson Law Review, competed as a member of the moot court board and worked with several trial advocacy and research and writing professors as a teaching and research assistant.
