Overview
Mark Fereg has concentrated his legal practice to representing employers facing legal challenges in the workplace. Having represented clients in management-side labor and employment matters since entering private practice, Mark is well-versed in all phases of employment and workplace disputes, ranging from administrative investigations and hearings, arbitration, and litigation, including issues related discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, and employee leave. Mark also counsels and advises clients on a wide range of day-to-day employment and labor issues, including policy review, workplace investigations, and planning.
Prior to joining Gunster, Mark was an associate and counsel level attorney at a national labor and employment firm, focusing solely on the representation and counseling of employers in all aspects of employment matters. Mark also has representative experience related to fair housing claims, community association law, and commercial disputes.
Mark began his legal career serving as a judicial law clerk at the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Court of Alabama, gaining first-hand experience as to the practicalities of the judiciary. While in law school, Mark was a Pupil of the Judge James Edwin Horton Inn of Court and collegiate athlete during his undergraduate studies.
