Patricia Kimball (PK) Fletcher is a shareholder who joined Gunster in 2012. PK is involved in real estate and corporate transactions valued into the hundreds of millions of dollars. PK’s experience includes all aspects of real property acquisition, syndication, financing, development, joint ventures, land use, construction and leasing. She is also experienced in resolving the challenges associated with homeowner association and condominium related matters.
PK’s clients include developers, lenders, syndicators, hotels, construction companies, real estate brokers, property management companies and individual real estate investors and owners, among others. In her fourth decade of practice, PK is dedicated to resolving even the most complex problems and overcoming what are considered seemingly insurmountable obstacles that other lawyers could not resolve. She remains focused on creativity and thinking “outside of the box.” PK’s focus on the details while never losing site of the “big picture” of a transaction aids her in closing even the most complicated or arduous transactions.
PK is involved in drafting and negotiating purchase, sale and construction agreements, handling title matters, coordinating due diligence activities and identifying and dealing with environmental and land use challenges as they arise in the course of real estate development. PK’s understanding of diverse types of real estate, including mixed use and commercial office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, single and multi-family development allows her to combine her knowledge of the law with a business-like approach to real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Gunster, PK served as an executive vice president and general counsel for AV Homes, Inc. (formerly Avatar Holdings Inc.). As a result, PK knows from personal experience what it means to be in business.
