Richard Grant joined Gunster in 2023, has practiced law in Florida since 1973 and in Southwest Florida since 1979.

Board certified in Real Estate by The Florida Bar since 1987, Richard is experienced in handling project documentation for complex urban residential, commercial and mixed-use developments; complex multi-tier business entity organization and re-organizations; and the development, construction, and permanent real estate financing, corporate finance, and mezzanine finance. He advises and helps clients navigate complex construction contracts; internal governance issues within complex business entities; and the sale and purchase of all types of real estate and businesses. He has significant experience dealing with real property title and land use issues including zoning. He has also served as general counsel to several substantial business entities.

Richard previously served as a U.S. Army infantry officer from 1965 to 1968, during which time he was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Infantryman Badge.
