Kaitlin Guerin Headshot

Overview

Kaitlin Guerin is a shareholder in the firm’s real property and business litigation practice groups, representing landowners and developers in matters of land use and zoning, property rights litigation, and eminent domain. Kaitlin’s diverse property rights practice assists her in analyzing real property issues from different perspectives, advising clients not only of their legal rights, but also in navigating associated political and business strategies.

Kaitlin counsels clients on a variety of land use and zoning matters at the local government level, including residential, mixed-use, and commercial development projects, and has defended developer’s property rights when challenged in court. She represents landowners and businesses in eminent domain actions, regulatory takings, and FLUEDRA disputes, and represents a major utility company in condemnation actions. Kaitlin also litigates a variety of general property rights matters ranging from homestead exemption challenges to landlord/tenant disputes.

Kaitlin’s property rights practice has given her the opportunity to work with a variety of experts and consultants, including appraisers, engineers, land planners, architects, and surveyors, from whom she has gained substantive knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively advise clients.

Kaitlin is a Palm Beach County local, returning after graduating magna cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in 2016. While in law school, Kaitlin was on the executive board of the university’s Moot Court Team and served as a judicial intern for Chief Justice Labarga of the Florida Supreme Court and as a research assistant for Dean Donald Weidner. With a passion for the water and boating, she is a board member of the Austin Blu Foundation, which serves the community by providing boating safety courses for kids and raising awareness of boating safety technology.
