Tadd Blair is an experienced litigator and collaborative problem-solver.  He recently joined Gunster after serving thirteen years in the Navy JAG Corps.  His current practice focuses on complex litigation in the construction and transportation industries and issues involving government procurements and the energy sector.

While in the Navy, Tadd advised high-level military commanders and advocated for individual service members.  His ability to relate to clients while understanding their objectives and motivation enabled him to provide targeted legal guidance on complex multi-national operations and exercises.  Those skills also served individual service members, whether defending them in court or advocating for their rights in administrative actions.  Before the Navy, Tadd was a Presidential Management Fellow with the Social Security Administration, managing dynamic teams in several offices.  Now, he brings this broad experience and client-centered perspective to Gunster, helping to provide the best possible advice and advocacy to the firm’s business clients.

Barred in Illinois since 2008, Tadd recently passed the Florida bar and was asked to speak at his induction ceremony due to his exemplary score.  Tadd continues serving in the Navy Reserve and is active in the local community, coaching his two sons’ flag football teams and participating in various philanthropic organizations.  He enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks.

Tadd speaks both English and Spanish.
