Bill Hyland is of counsel in Gunster’s Corporate practice and a member of the firm’s Technology Committee.
A veteran transactional attorney with both legal and business acumen, Bill advises a full range of middle market and emerging companies, with whom he works to form corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, structure joint ventures, plan corporate reorganizations, as well as draft buy-sell, shareholder, member, licensing and financing agreements.
Bill counsels clients on the formation, operation and liquidation of partnerships and joint ventures for private investors. He provides legal counsel in restructuring or assisting companies with a combination of tax efficiency, asset protection and limited liability. Bill has resolved disputes among joint venture partners on challenges pertaining to the sale or refinancing of joint venture properties.
In addition to advising emerging and middle market companies, Bill also assists closely held and family owned businesses with their buy/sell agreements, stock and membership transfer techniques, executive compensation and management succession plans.
Bill advises on the spectrum of M&A activity including the purchase and sale of closely held business enterprises and interests therein, as well as management buy-outs and/or reorganization matters. Bill has closed deals spanning a variety of issues and involving a broad cross section of industries.
Bill represents state and national corporations on their Florida based transactions. He is also actively involved with local and regional companies for whom he frequently acts as outside counsel and valued advisor.
