Gunster attorney and chairman of the board George LeMieux discusses the broad scope of the Florida statute on deceptive and unfair trade practices – and how it might affect business owners.

Watch the video now:

In the video, LeMieux points out that the Florida attorney general's office acts to protect consumers by ensuring businesses are not doing things that are unfair or deceptive in the sale of goods or services.

The AG's office may investigate how a company advertises its goods or services – whether that is online, by phone or in print. They may also look into particular areas of commerce, such as health care. Really, there is no part of the economy that is off-limits to an attorney general investigation.
