Gunster is pleased to announce that shareholder Jounice Nealy-Brown was installed as the 100th President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, for the 2024-25 term. The swearing in ceremony was held at the St. Petersburg Museum of History on June 6, 2024.
Established in 1925, the St. Petersburg Bar Association is a voluntary bar association that works to serve the legal community, strengthen the noble calling of the practice of law, and foster excellence in the profession. The Association also promotes community service and various networking events for their members.
In addition to her role as President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, Nealy-Brown serves as co-chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association Leadership Institute, and is a member of the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association and the George Edgecomb Bar Association. Nealy-Brown has also long served on the board of Suncoast Credit Union, which is a non-profit financial institution that also helps provide financial services to under-served communities.
Nealy-Brown received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, M.B.A. from University of Miami, and B.A. from Howard University.
Jounice Nealy-Brown is a member of the Labor and Employment Law practice group and advises clients in litigation matters, including employment discrimination and probate issues. She joined Gunster after serving as a federal judicial law clerk for The Honorable Anthony E. Porcelli and The Honorable Mary S. Scriven, both of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division.
