Now in its seventh year, the "Florida 500" list is a prestigious and selective recognition of the 500 most influential business leaders in Florida who have made a significant impact on the state's economy, culture and quality of life. Honorees are chosen based on extensive contacts in regional business circles, numerous interviews, and months of research.

Gunster Attorney George LeMieuxGeorge LeMieux is the chairman of the board of Gunster and a seasoned trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience. He served as Florida's 34th United States Senator in the 111th Congress, where he successfully passed legislation on health care fraud, export promotion, rating agency reform and small business promotion. He is an advisor to Fortune 500 companies, their officers, and boards, and leads internal corporate investigations. He is also the founder of the LeMieux Center for Public Policy at Palm Beach Atlantic University and the author of two award-winning books on Florida history.


Gunster CEO & Managing Shareholder Bill PerryBill Perry is the CEO and managing shareholder of Gunster. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the firm, Perry continues to practice real estate and business law, specializing in complex commercial and financial transactions. He has worked on many large residential and commercial real estate projects throughout Florida, as well as infrastructure projects that have helped shape South Florida. Perry has also been actively involved in leadership and strategic planning efforts at both the statewide and local levels, serving on the board of directors of the Florida Chamber Foundation, Leadership Florida, the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, and the University of Florida Law Center Association.


Gunster Attorney Peter QuinterPeter Quinter is a globally ranked U.S. Customs and international trade law counselor and advocate, representing individuals and companies involved in the wide variety of legal issues associated with international trade and transportation. A Florida Bar board certified international law attorney, Quinter has argued cases before the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Florida, and Florida's intermediate appellate courts. Prior to entering private practice, Quinter served as legal counsel at the Southeast Regional Headquarters of the U.S. Customs Service (now known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection) in Miami, Florida. 


Gunster Attorney Mike TannerMike Tanner is a board certified civil trial and business litigation lawyer with more than 40 years of experience. Tanner served as the 73rd president of The Florida Bar with a strategic focus on professionalism and increased access to justice. His primary areas of practice include complex litigation, appellate, and election law. He has been lead trial counsel in federal and state courts, in civil and regulatory matters, befojuries, judges and arbitrators. In 2012, Tanner was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Again this year, Gunster is the only law firm to have four individuals recognized on the "Florida 500" list, reflecting its steadfast commitment to Leading Florida Forward through leadership and excellence in serving clients and the greater community.
