On July 29, 2016, the Dade County Bar Association held its annual Legal Luminaries awards program and dinner at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne.
Gunster shareholder Maria Acevedo-Belt was named a Legal Luminary in the category of Top Corporate Attorney by popular vote by members of the bar.

Dade County Bar Association selects finalists in each category based on nominations received. Members in good standing with the Florida Bar are invited to vote, and winners are determined by the total number of valid votes for each category.
Acevedo-Belt is a shareholder in Gunster’s Miami office. She is an international corporate and real estate attorney, with a particular emphasis on the Caribbean and Latin America.
