Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection is holding rule development workshops November 14-16 to discuss proposed changes to its Water Resource Implementation Rule (Chapter 62-40, Florida Administrative Code).

Being considered are criteria for reuse offsets and credits, reclaimed water policy recommendations and Consumptive Use Permitting (“CUP”) consistency recommendations.

There will be three workshops held on:

Nov. 14

Palm Beach County Governmental Center, 301 N. Olive Ave., 6th Floor Chambers, West Palm Beach, Florida
Nov. 15

9 a.m.

Burnett Park, 4801 W Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida (near the baseball fields and next to the gymnasium off Delores Drive)
Nov. 16

9 a.m.

4075 Esplanade Way, Room 152, Tallahassee, Florida

Previously, the Department held workshops to develop ideas created by the CUP workgroups. This is the first rule draft implementing the ideas.

Comments on the proposed rule are due no later than December 3.
