Gunster’s David Scileppi will be talking about Managing Regulations and Disclosures on October 23.

The session is part of CustomerConnect Live!, the 17th annual conference for law department operations and corporate governance professionals, on October 22 – 25 at Disney’s Contemporary Hotel.

Managing Regulations and Disclosures

This year isn’t just a big year in presidential politics, it’s a big year in the world of securities regulation.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has a long to-do list, from continuing to tackle proposed rules of the Dodd-Frank Act to moving forward on other initiatives such as financial reporting standards and proxy plumbing that will have a real impact on many companies.

In this session, Scileppi will discuss current, pending and recent regulatory changes for 2012 through 2013 and their impact on the corporate secretary function.

He will explore disclosures required to maintain compliance with these regulations and best practices for educating executives and directors on the securities requirements.
