Gunster attorney James Davis will be chairing the 22nd Annual Symposium for the Planned Giving Council of Broward this year. Davis, who is the chair of Gunster’s tax practice group, serves as vice president and programs director for the 
organization. Planned Giving Council is a national group aimed toward educating the public and fostering partnerships and networking opportunities.
The symposium will take place on May 7 at the Northern Trust Bank in Fort Lauderdale. The 2015 symposium has already been scheduled for May 20 of next year. The symposium will help to offer marketing and programming strategies, while promoting future charitable giving from the general public. Davis has served on the board of directors since 2013.
Additionally, Davis, who joined Gunster in 2001, works as an adjunct professor with the University of Miami school of law and is very involved throughout the South Florida area. He is Florida Bar board certified in tax law and has served as chair of the board of legal specialization and education.
