Gunster shareholder Lynn Pappas will be speaking and introducing one of this year’s inductees Kelly Madden from Wells Fargo into the First Coast Business Hall of Fame.
In 1999, The Florida Council on Economic Education created the First Coast Business Hall of Fame to recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to the six county First Coast community (Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau and St. Johns counties). The honor is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to the community through their business and civic achievements–serving as lifelong examples of integrity and service.
Members of the Hall of Fame serve as inspirations to young people who will follow in their footsteps. Proceeds from the Hall of Fame support the economic and free enterprise education programs and financial literacy initiatives of the Florida Council in the First Coast Area. Established by Governor Askew in 1975, The Florida Council promotes economic education, financial literacy, investing, and entrepreneurship throughout the state’s K-12 system. By investing in the education of children, the First Coast business community has a tremendous influence in developing the leaders and citizens of tomorrow.
