The American Inns of Court today issued a featured review in their quarterly magazine THE BENCHER celebrating the newly-released book of essays on legal ethics, professionalism, and civility, COEUR DU FEU / FIREHEART, by Gunster Yoakley shareholder Michael Cavendish. The review lauds the new book as “compulsively readable” and “poetic” with “thoughtful content.” The review feature is accompanied by a short excerpt from the book, the essay “Ink Husbandry.”
The Bencher is the official magazine of the national foundation of the American Inns of Court movement, with a circulation of 26,000. It is published four times per year by an appointed editorial board of leading judges and lawyers.
The American Inns of Court were created by former Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger on the model of the longstanding English Inns of Court. Today the American Inns are divided into local chapters, have 25,000 active judge and lawyer members across the United States, and 50,000 alumni members.
Michael Cavendish is a Gunster Yoakley shareholder practicing in the firm’s Jacksonville, Florida office, in the area of complex commercial litigation. He is a former member of the Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee, and is a past winner of the Florida Bar’s Margaret Sanders legal writing award. This is his second book of legal essays.
