In a UF Warrington College of Business article titled “Banking on Mitigation,” Gunster shareholder Eric Olsen weighs in on the permitting process.

The article explains that 30 new mitigation banks are in various stages of the permitting process, and according to Olsen, “It can take two years to obtain a permit from DEP or one of the state’s five water management districts, and more than five years for a federal permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.”
