WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (November 12, 2008) — Kathryn N. Lewis and Keith E. Sonderling have joined the law firm of Gunster Yoakley as associates in the West Palm Beach office.

Lewis concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation and employment litigation. She earned her bachelor of arts, magna cum laude, from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University, and earned her juris doctorate, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law where she was in the honors program and received a Stetson Merit Scholarship. While in law school, Lewis served as assistant editor and articles and symposia editor of the Stetson Law Review, in which she had an article published,and was named its 2008 Outstanding New Associate. Lewis also earned book awards for the highest grade in courses on torts, conflict of laws, and education law. She also received the 2008 Florida Bar City, County and Local Government Law Student Section Award and was nominated as a 2008 All-American Scholar. Lewis is a member of the Florida Bar and the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and currently serves on the planning committee for the American Cancer Society’s North Palm Beach Relay for Life.

Sonderling concentrates his practice in employment litigation, business litigation and appellate practice. He earned his bachelor of science, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida and his juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University. He served as the notes and comments editor for the Nova Law Review, and earned book awards for achieving the highest grades in courses on contracts, civil procedure and advanced legal research. Sonderling was the recipient of the Nova Law Dean’s Merit Scholarship and was named to the Nova Law Dean’s List. While at UF, Sonderling was named to the Presidential Honor Roll and Dean’s List, and became a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Florida Blue Key and Florida Cicerones. He also served as a producer and sports anchor for UF’s news station, WUFT, where he was recognized for his work by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Associated Press, Florida Association of Broadcasters and the Society of Professional Journalists. Sonderling is currently a member of the Florida Bar Association and Palm Beach County Bar Association.
