Palm Beach Gardens, FL (July 29, 2009)-Nicholas Robbins, a shareholder with Gunster, Attorneys at Law, participated in a roundtable discussion at Palm Beach Community College with Governor Charlie Crist and other bioscience leaders to urge the Governor to continue funding for the burgeoning life science industry in the state.
Robbins, who is a member of the firm’s Technology & Entrepreneurial Companies and Corporate practice, is also chairman of the board of directors for the Angel Investment Forum of Florida and a member of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County’s Life Sciences Strategic Steering Committee.
“It’s important and extremely vital to our state’s economic status to continue the momentum we’ve begun as being a leader and an innovator in the bioscience field,” said Robbins. “Our state is at a precipice of becoming one of the most sought-after places to build and grow the life science industry.”
Mr. Robbins is also a member of the Florida Venture Forum and the Gold Coast Venture Capital Association and is active in building the Florida technology and innovation landscape. He has advised numerous technology and emerging growth companies, venture capital funds, strategic investors in private equity and venture capital transactions totaling in excess of $200 million.
