WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 26, 2009) — James R. Brindell, a shareholder and land use and environmental attorney in the West Palm Beach office of the Gunster law firm, has been named a Palm Beach Elite by the Palm Beach Daily News. Selected by readers and newsroom staff, the annual list highlights 100 people who make significant contributions to the community and “get things done.”

Brindell has extensive experience with sustainable, new town development as well as with large-scale, mixed-use urban and suburban projects. The newspaper observed that “nearly every high-profile zoning or land-use issue in Town has Brindell on one side or the other.”

An attorney at Gunster since 1981, he has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America for environmental law since 1993 and was named a “Florida Super Lawyer” in 2008. Brindell currently serves as chair of the Technical Assistance Program for the Urban Land Institute’s Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council and is a member of the American Planning Association and Palm Beach County Planning Congress. He is AV Rated as independently determined by Martindale-Hubbell.
